My lovely bride and I stopped in for an early lunch on a Sunday in December. The host was gracious and sat us not far from the piano player. The server was a little harried because he had so many tables to cover, but he got the job done in a New York way. My lovely bride ordered the lobster bisque and eggs florentine. For dessert she had the house special - chocolate lava cake (omg). I had the endive salad and the duck l'orange, and for dessert the apple tart tartin, a real classic. Excellent food and reasonable prices. The ambience is warm, with plenty of images of Josephine Baker. Highly recommend.

It's a beautiful restaurant, perfect for a date night with your special someone. They had great drink options and cocktails. The food was tasty but a bit underwhelming. I definitely will go again and try something different the next time

Come for the romantic vibes and attentive service. Great cozy atmosphere, piano player was crooning softly. Food was fine, but lacked finesse - prix fixe reminded me of a dining room meal on a cruise ship (good but not great). Even so, we liked the energy there and would go back there for a theater meal.

Absolutely 100% would recommend. I came here to celebrate my 30 and couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate. The atmosphere is fun and vibey with great decor. The musicians performing live were amazing and interactive with the guests. The waitstaff were also very attentive and quick. The drinks were good and definitely strong. The food and dessert were just as good! Will definitely be coming back here for either another event or a general up-beat dining experience.

9/21/24 Chez Josephine is a charming French restaurant that has long intrigued me. Finally, after years of walking by, I had the opportunity to dine there. The interior is beautifully decorated, evoking the glamorous Parisian atmosphere of Josephine Baker's era. French Onion soup - rich and flavorful, though a bit sweeter than I expected. The cheese was perfectly melted and formed a delicious, crispy top. Grilled Octopus - full of flavor, though I found it slightly chewy. Duck a l'Orange - cooked to perfection and had a delightful balance of sweet and savory flavors. Seafood Casserole - a bit of a disappointment. While it was tasty, it was more like a soup than a casserole, and the seafood was slightly overcooked. The service was impeccable. Our servers, Ulises, Mayra, and Ariel, were attentive and knowledgeable, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Chez Josephine is a delightful restaurant that captures the essence of Parisian cuisine. While there were a few minor hiccups, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Came here for a dinner and drinks before a show. What a hidden gem. It doesn't look like anything from the outside but inside it's very lovely, they have live music which is an amazing added touch. The food was great. Service was not bad. I had escargot, beef tar tar and everything was delicious the drinks were a bit weak but tasty. Will definitely be back!

I arrived at the restaurant after making a reservation in the morning, specifically requesting a cozy spot for a date. However, the waitress seated me by the entrance door, which was not what I had asked for. When I asked if we could get a better table, her immediate response was "no" without even checking. Fortunately, the manager was passing by and noticed our conversation. I asked him if we could get a better spot than by the entrance door, and he kindly accommodated us, seating us toward the back where there were many empty tables. Thanks to him and his excellent customer service, we had a good night. Unfortunately, the waitress displayed terrible customer service and should reconsider her position if she cannot provide better assistance. Once again, many thanks to the manager for his help and making our evening enjoyable.
